Bruno Mathsson designed SAGA’s seat and back so that a good posture could be achieved effortlessly. By reusing Mathsson’s ingenious seat design and with the support of Swedish designers and engineers, the SAGA product line is extended with a bar stool that effortlessly blends Mathsson’s sculptured forms with the visual lightness of its new base, creating the illusion of freedom from gravity.
”- The bar stool is our first step in extending the SAGA product line using the design from the original SAGA office chair. Its sleek profiile and minimalistic design offers an uncluttered atmosphere, particularly in locations where several stools are grouped together” says Erik Norrman, Managing Director of Support Design AB.
The bar stool is delivered in lightly padded Scandinavian leather supported by a powder coated steel frame and stainless steel base. The new SAGA bar stool is available for purchase from selected distributors worldwide starting November 2010.
